Dr. Agnieszka Olszewska-Guizzo and Anastasia Kokkinou presented this month (6-8 May) on behalf of the GreenInCities consortium at the European 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 (WIA) & 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗘𝗦𝗗) organized by the 𝗖𝘆𝗽𝗿𝘂𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.
First, they took the stage for 𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝗜𝗜𝗜: 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲, 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 (𝗪𝗜𝗔) & 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗘𝗦𝗗). 🗣️🎤
The panel discussed a range of topics, including:
🏫 how place, space, and architecture shape the way WIA and ESD are experienced and enacted in educational settings;
👩🏫 what educational leaders should understand about the relationship between the built environment and the everyday experience of learning and inclusion;
👩🎓 how space and design can influence the quality of learning and the way institutional culture is experienced by learners and educators.
This provided an opportunity to share the research and tools currently being developed by NeuroLandscape, including 𝗡𝗲𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗨𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗡𝗨𝗔) as part of the GreenInCities project and re-designing schools in a process that includes all stakeholders (non-human too!🦊🐝) as part of the SchoolChanger Interreg BSR project.
Next, they skipped the Powerpoint slides and performed a skit for their interactive workshop on 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴.
