Research Assistant - Neuroscience
Location: Remote (EU resident)
Time Commitment: Part-time (10–20% FTE)

We drive cutting-edge R&D projects funded by the EU, exploring how the built environment impacts mental health and well-being. Our mission is to create evidence-based solutions for designing healthier, more sustainable, and equitable urban spaces.
The Role: We are seeking a passionate Research Assistant with experience in neuroscience to join our interdisciplinary team. This role will involve contributing to a multi-country Horizon Europe project that develops solutions for designing more livable urban environments. You will work alongside experts from various fields, gaining exposure to a vast academic and professional network.
This position is perfect for a self-motivated researcher eager to explore the interplay between neuroscience, technology, and urban design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct experimental research on topics at the intersection of emotion, mental health and well-being, and human neuroscience in urban contexts.
- Contribute to the development of digital tools for urban planning, leveraging insights from neuroscience.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, integrating research findings into broader project goals.
- Engage in academic writing, including research reports and publications.
- Represent NeuroLandscape in meetings and scientific events as needed.
Requirements:
- MSc or PhD in neuroscience, psychology, or a closely related field.
- Strong foundation in statistics and data analysis.
- Previous experience with EEG data collection and analysis
- Intermediate proficiency in coding (e.g., Python, Matlab, R) with a strong interest in developing computational skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Demonstrable interest in topics such as AI, mobile EEG, or neurourbanism.
- Good academic writing skills, with a track record of publications or research outputs preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary environment.
- Availability for occasional travel to project-related events and conferences.
